Signatures

With wide use of computers, sometimes the only writing that we see of someone one is their signature. The signature you use shows the world who you are, or the you that you want the world to see, and how you feel about yourself. 

Just like your writing, your signature remains the same over time, however with some variations, depending on your current situation.  For a woman who marries, and isn't the happiest in her marriage, you will see a difference between the first name and how the last name is signed (if she is using her married name).  If a person feels very proud of their last name, some times that name will be written larger than the first name.  Likewise if someone prefers their first name to their family name, the first name will appear larger than the last name. 

It is important to remember that looking at someone's signature gives you an idea of who this person is, however, more than just the signature of a person should be analyzed.  Since the signature is the view of who you want the world to see you as, it does not give the handwriting analyst the entire view of the person.  The signature may be larger or smaller than the rest of the writing, the signature may show someone who is putting on a happy face, compared to the other writing, all of these things must be taken into consideration.

Some of my favorite signatures are of people who are involved with sports.  Many times in the signature of these people you can see the sport that they are involved in.  In a soccer player, you may see a soccer ball included in the writing.  Also noticeable on the 1999 USA Women's World Soccer champions, Mia Hamm, #9  you can see two heads.  Julie Foudy, #11 shows feet that are running.  In a race car driver, you may see an oval or road track in the signature.
